In partnership with LENZING™ ECOVERO™ and Textil Carmem, THE PARADISE launches a sustainable collection inspired by Bela Gil

Uniting Brazilianness and fun in the prints, the “Feira” capsule collection comes with pieces made of eco-responsible LENZING™ ECOVERO™ specialty viscose fibers that generates up to 50% less CO2 emissions to the planet and decomposes in 6-12 months in nature

Bela Gil's multicolored universe and her constant concern for environmental causes inspired The Paradise to launch the Feira Collection in partnership with LENZING™ ECOVERO™, a world reference in sustainable viscose, and the spinning mill Textil Carmem. The pieces, created by Thomaz Azulay and Patrick Doering, celebrate Brazilian culture to make consumers aware of the importance of protecting the planet.

A longtime friend of the designer duo, the presenter and chef has always had a careful and conscious look at nature as a whole. Her joy and fight for the environment were pillars for the personification of the six pieces of the Feira capsule collection, which uses yarns made of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers produced by spinning mill Têxtil Carmem – a partner of the Lenzing Group in Brazil – and comprises shirts, scarves, pants and dresses, which are gender neutral. ‘‘The Paradise believes in and values a more conscious and ecologically responsible world. We have always defended and made use of natural and eco-responsible fibers in our collections, in addition to being concerned with timeless and quality fashion, with good finish to be durable and to be used always, for many years. No good idea should be discarded as easily and quickly as the world has been doing'', declares Patrick Doering, partner of the brand, alongside Thomaz Azulay.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ are derived from sustainably managed wood and pulp, coming from certified and controlled sources. The manufacturing of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers generates up to 50% less CO2 emissions and water impact in its manufacture when compared to generic viscose. The fibers have been certified with the EU Ecolabel for Textile Products (license no. AT/016/001) - a label of environmental excellence, awarded to products and services that attend to high environmental standards throughout their lifecycle: from raw material extraction to production, distribution and disposal. “We know how much Patrick and Thomaz care about the planet and providing more sustainable fashion. Nature is finite and using only the resources we really need, with maximum efficiency, is to ensure high quality production in an ecologically healthy environment. Therefore, we are very happy with this partnership, even more so having Bela Gil as an inspiration, such an important person these days for environmental causes”, says Juliana Jabour, Business Development Manager for South America at the Lenzing Group.

Based in Austria and 80 years in the textile fiber market, the Lenzing Group is recognized for its solidity, quality, and innovation in sustainability and for actively contributing to face the problems caused by climate change. In 2019, they made a strategic commitment to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions per ton of product by 50% by 2030, with the goal of being carbon neutral for the climate by 2050.

The Feira Collection was officially launched on the 17th of November and now available at The Paradise e-commerce and at multi-brand stores throughout Brazil.
