Calvin Klein’s latest collection prioritizing sustainability with eco-friendly fibers
  • The newest collection from Calvin Klein, Reconsidered Comfort, is using TENCEL™ branded fibers that are sustainable and biodegradable
  • The fibers are also made of REFIBRA™ technology that turned combining up to 30% fibers that have been produced from the cotton waste collected in the production process of the TENCEL™ fibers

Jakarta, August 25th 2021 – Calvin Klein launches their latest collection Reconsidered Comfort, for minimalist and eco-friendly underwear design. In this collection, Calvin Klein also promotes and contributes to the circular economic of textile by using TENCEL™ branded fibers that are responsibly produced and have minimum effect for the environment.

Through the Reconsidered Comfort collection, Calvin Klein not only offers comfort but also invites its lovers to switch and contribute to preserving the environment by choosing environmental-friendly underwear products. TENCEL™ fibers, the main material of the thread and fabric of the product itself are originated from the renewable raw material wood, and sustainably managed and FSC® or PEFC™ certified wood industry. Since it’s made of natural base materials, this fiber-based clothing product is able to fully revert back to nature, so it is safe for the environment and reduces pollution. The waist rubber is also made of 40% recycled polyester.

“This collection has more meaning than just underwear because loyal Calvin Klein customers are also able to contribute to preserving nature by choosing underwear made from natural fibers. Of course, the TENCEL™ fibers that are applied to the Reconsidered Comfort collection from Calvin Klein are also able to provide a sense of comfort, thanks to their high breathability feature,” said Mariam Tania, Marketing and Branding Manager, SEA and Oceania, Lenzing Group.

TENCEL™ lyocell fibers used in this collection are also made of REFIBRA™ technology that turned combining up to 30% fibers that have been produced from the cotton waste collected in the production process of the TENCEL™ fibers. They also offer high breathability feature, that are unfavourable for bacteria growth, and provide long-lasting colour.

The Reconsidered Comfort campaign by Calvin Klein is starred by Kaia Gerber, Vinson Fraley dancer, and singer, Rina Sawayama in some of the photographs took by the well-known fashion photographer, Mario Sorrenti. This collection embraces all the body types and sizes, the iconic monogram underwear by Calvin Klein offers unlimited self-expression, a canvas for creative exploration.
